BIG NEWS!

As most everyone knows, at the end of May after a two-year struggle with SPU I finally received my bachelor’s degree. A week later I got into grad school and was “let go” from my job. Since then I’ve finished one semester of school and began another. I was blessed with California Unemployment, but have been struggling to find a job. My month off from school in August was a nice break but I felt so lost, with no direction. It’s been nice since school has started and I have something to do besides look for jobs. But ever since I moved down to California I have dug myself into a deep debt and living on student loans, without a job has not helped.

About a month ago I was talking with my mom and she threw out the idea of moving home to Meridian for a little while. As soon as I hung up the phone with her I just knew that was it. I talked with Heather and found out my mom had told her that two weeks prior. The two of us discussed and prayed about it. Three weeks ago we mentioned it to Jenny and how it just felt like the right thing to do. She had been thinking the exact same thing; she had been thinking about moving back to Washington.

Our lease is up at the end of November and Heather and I will be hitting the road right before Thanksgiving. I am so incredibly ready for this. I feel like being home will be a HUGE breath of fresh air. I hope that while I’m there I can enjoy my family and friends and get a handle on my life. I really want to end up back in Seattle and I’m hoping that after 6 to 9 months at home and a couple more semester under my belt I’ll be ready to stand on my own two feet again.

Please be praying for Heather, Jenny and I as we step into this new chapter of our lives. We’re all ready for this, but I know we’re going to miss each other and our crazy, wonderful adventures down here.

5 Things I Love

It's about time I posted my 5 Things I Love. Here goes:

1. Elle magazine: Although I shouldn't be spending my money on magazines, Elle is one of the favorites I get every once in a while. I loved that they put Victoria Beckham on this month's cover! AMAZING editorial spread on her! I also love Elle's Creative Director Mr. Joe Zee! He wished Heather and I happy birthday on twitter when we asked for a shout out. I DIE.

2. The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks: I love reading Nicholas Sparks' books but haven't in a while. The Last Song came out a couple weeks ago and I got it from the library. I was extra excited about reading this one because he wrote it after he wrote the screenplay for Miley Cyrus. She filmed the movie this summer in Georgia and it'll be in theaters next year. The book was fabulous! I've never EVER cried so hard while reading a book.

3. Black Nail Polish. Obsessed. Black = Glam (not goth)

4. Mexican Food: more specifically fish tacos. Again, OBSESSED. The best ones down here are at Taco Factory. Dang, now I want some. SOOOO GOOD!

5. My Blackberry Curve: I got this last fall and I love it. Don't know how I lived without it before. I love my facebook, twitter and NFL apps! Blackberry messaging is AMAZING! Heather, Jenny and I would group BBM at work, soooo bad!

someone somewhere

someone is waiting
someone who understands exactly how you feel
exactly how you feel
someone is dreaming
someone is hoping just that this will be the day
that this will be the day

that you take your eyes off the ground
out of the blue
and see that someone is looking right
back at you

maybe that someone's me
maybe it's meant to be
lovers, strangers
sometimes bombs fall quietly
maybe it's chemistry
maybe it's hard to see that someone is the right one
i hope that someone is me

nobody's perfect
nobody's perfect no one really knows the truth
all we've got's a point of view.
and there's too many questions
there's too many questions and too many reasons not to try
there's too many reasons not to try

but you should take your eyes off the ground
out of the blue
and see that someone is looking right
back at you

someone is waiting
someone who understands exactly how you feel
exactly how you feel.
someone is dreaming
someone is hoping just that this will be the day
that this will be the day

where ya gonna go from here
cause everything you need's out there
and you can have it if you dare
if you dare
there's someone somewhere

Babe Ruthless

Yayyy!! I was looking online earlier tonight for free moving screenings. Thanks to Film Metro I was able to find tickets to Whip It tonight in Burbank. Heather and I left right after I printed the ticket. We waited in line for maybe 15 minutes before they let us in the theater. Then we just had to wait an hour for the movie to start. We're pretty sure some of the roller derby girls who were in the movie were there to watch the preview. This movie had a great cast: Ellen Page, Drew Barrymore, Kristin Wiig and Landon Pigg to name a few. It was an awesome movie!

Sweet Valley

Has everyone heard the great news? Diablo Cody is writing and adapting Sweet Valley High for the big screen. I loved reading SVH books when I was younger, especially loved Sweet Valley University. I'm really excited! Now I want to go back and read them all. Time to hit the library website & see what books they have.

Whip It

This is one of the many new movies that is coming out that I really want to see. I'm really bummed because there are two free pre-screenings in the LA area, but they're both full. No free t-shirt for me. :( I think one of my new things will be trying to go to pre-screenings of movies. What's better than a free screening of a movie when you're totally broke??

Penny & Me

This brings back a lot of memories. I love the cinematography and artsy feel of the video.

This video makes me want to do 3 things:
1. Listen to my old Hanson cds
2. Watch The O.C.
3. Drink a big glass of lemonade

Dark haired beauty

Today Sanna's pretty backpiece lady finally got some color (read=black) in her hair.
And Sanna herself is moving closer and closer to the coveted (by some) and feared (by others) trooper title.
More progress next month, so stay tuned!

5 Things I Love

Here's my 5 things I love for this week!

1. NCIS: The only reason I started watching this show was because of my parents. I think it was my dad who started watching it first and he got my mom hooked on it. Abby is her favorite. In the last couple weeks I haven't had much to do and have caught MANY NCIS marathons on USA. It's such a great show!!

2. Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen: I have loved MK&A since I was a little girl. I grew up watching Full House and the many, many movies they've made. They are beautiful, talented and fashionable women. I would LOVE to meet them one day!

3. Victoria Beckham: She is one of my favorite fashionistas! I LOVE LOVE LOVE her style. I only wish I had the money to afford her entire collections. I've attached a video that's like a commercial for her line. It's adorable.

4. XXX Vitamin Water: When I worked at SPU Safety & Security after I graduated I became obsessed with this viatmin water. I would always get XXX & a powerbar for a snack from the C-Store on my breaks.

5. Urban Decay Eyeshadow Scratch: Thanks to Jenny and Heather I started using this eyeshadow this past year. It's fabulous! I wear this color everyday and eventually I'd love to try some of the other colors.

Art Show

The fabulous Promise Tangeman is hosting an online reader art show today on her blog. A bunch of amazing and talented people submitted their work.

This is one of the photos I submitted:

I took it was I was home in June. Mom, Heather and I went up to Idaho City for a day and we had to stop at the crazy old house there. It was the perfect place to break in my new camera. I've included a couple other photos I took that day.

Photographic Artworks I

Hey there Ladies & Gentlemen .. !!

Seems like event -XVI- is taking a long time to end and I guess, I will be serving the Devil for a long time as well... It doesn't worry me though but what worries me is the fact that, someone else stealing my ideas and making it their own without even asking or telling me about it.

But that is not the issue here. If he/she wants to steal my idea, I suggest that the person to do a better job than me unless he/she wants to make a mockery out of it or, he/she wants to make themselves look stupid.

I realized that I must not hold on to my works which I have done years back but instead, expose it to the World, so certain people can be put into place. I don't resort to violence physically, but only Artistically.

So, Boys and Girls, I present to you My Photographic Artworks that I have done.

evolution and onslaught

Dove created these commercials for their Campaign For Real Beauty. The campaign was launched in 2004 "to serve as a starting point for societal change and act as a catalyst for widening the definition and discussion of beauty." Their mission is "to make more women feel beautiful everyday by widening stereotypical views of beauty."

On their website they listed a startling statistics: Only 2% of women around the world describes themselves as beautiful. 81% of the women in the U.S. strongly agree that "the media and advertising set an unrealistic standard of beauty that most women can't ever achieve."

For more information, check out their website.

Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight.
1 Peter 3:3-4

Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
Proverbs 31:30

Here We Go Again

I will admit it, I am 24 years old and I watch the Disney channel. I went to The Grove and saw Mitchel Musso perform after he released his debut album. I was so excited when Debby Ryan, Tiffany Thorton and Miley Cyrus showed up to support him. I also went to the Grove to see Ashley Tisdale perform. I watched The Princess Protection Program movie premiere and The Wizards of Waverly Place movie premiere on the Disney Channel. When I first saw Camp Rock, yes on the night it premiered, I DID NOT like Demi Lovato. Who was this weird girl with this HUGE, FREAKY smile in this movie with the Jo-Bros?? Now, oh now I LOVE HER!! She is the cutest, sweetest girl with a great style. I must also confess I bought her new CD on iTunes at midnight when it came out (only because I was still awake). I am not some kind of weirdo, I swear. Well, I am weird, but I just really appreciate genuine people who aren't trashy and don't need to be, to be "cool." I'm posting Demi's music video for her single "Here We Go Again." I'm loving her pink lipstick and black outfit. Gorgeous!

Like a tree planted by the water

"He will be like a tree planted by the water
that sends out its roots by the stream.
It does not fear when heat comes;
its leaves are always green.
It has no worries in a year of drought
and never fails to bear fruit."
Jeremiah 17:8
