Whistler Weekend

I can't believe I'm posting these pictures a month late. But like Heather said, better late than never. This is from our fun trip to Seattle/Whistler last month, January 21-25th. Heather and I flew up on Thursday and then all of us girls drove to Vancouver on Friday. We had such a great weekend! We celebrated Jenny's 25th birthday on Friday night by going out to dinner in Whistler Village. Saturday we spent the day exploring the Village and hanging out. We made dinner Saturday night and watched some movies. We headed back to Seattle Sunday and then Heather and I flew home Monday night. It was great to spend time with all my girls. I love them so much!! It was also pretty awesome to be up in Whistler just a few weeks before the Olympics started. Whistler was all decked out and we got to go to the official Olympics store at the village.

Tattoo Designs - Get Personalized

Tattoo Designs - Get Personalized by Wendy Gorman

What kind of tattoo design do you have in mind? This is a most important thing to think about. Your tattoo will say a lot about your own character. Other people will perceive your tattoo as an extension of your personality and attitude. Hence, you need to be careful in choosing your design. Make sure that you are comfortable and proud with your choice as you will be wearing your tattoo for a long period of time. Another important point you should consider is where exactly do you intend to locate your tattoo on your body? Different areas of your body have different affects on the perception of your tattoo. The ankle, for example, is an ideal setting for a tattoo as it can emphasize both sexiness and beauty.

So, how do you choose the right tattoo design? There are many ways to obtain an appropriate tattoo design. Some people copy their tattoo designs from the different artworks found in the internet. Others prefer to get their tattoo designs from a market. One disadvantage in obtaining designs from a market is that people miss the chance to personalize their tattoo. As a result, their tattoo may not fully portray them as they would wish. It is important that you choose a design that reflects, and wherever possible enhances, the 'real you.

Tattoos represent a specific mood, value, or culture and for this reason it is essential that no mistake is made in choosing You do not want to be stuck with sending out the wrong message for many years to come. If you want to ensure you have a properly personalized tattoo, Then it is clearly better to create your own design.

To commence the design of your own tattoo you need to think first of your proposed tattoo meaning or symbol. Perhaps you want to wear a tattoo that tells of your (or somebody else's) courage or nationalism? It may be you that you want to wear a tattoo that conveys a specific value and culture? Or would you want to lovingly inculcate the memory of your lost love? Identify the details first. Then, think of a design that can relate to this meaning. You do not have to be an artist in order to do this. You just need to focus your decision making and clearly identify your preferences.

Out of the detail that you have in mind, think of an image that will relate to it. You may try comparing other tattoo designs so that you have a full grasp of how your your personalized tattoo might look. Search the internet for appropriate images and you will find many broad options, each of which might be tailored to your own specific wishes.

Throughout this process, have in mind the design aim and high standards that you started out with, so that once in place, your tattoo can proudly reflect your taste and preferences for many years to come..

RGB

These are my two assignments from this past week for my Photoshop and Color Theory classes. The assignments ended up being the same for both classes. These are my takes on the RGB color model. The second picture is one my favorite! My professor told me it was the best work he's seen from me! How exciting?! I definitely pushed myself with these, trying out fashion photography. I'm hoping throughout the semester I will have a lot more fun fashion images to post on here! Thank you Heather for all your help with this!

Last work day at Nansensgade

So, as the title suggests, Allan had his last work day at the old shop today, and i doubt that another tattoo will ever be made at that address.
At least i'm hoping that won't happen!
I've been packing most of the day and while it's a little weird to look at the bare walls and think "i painted that line" or take down a bunch of shelves i put up, i am not really feeling sentimental at all.
This has been a long time coming, particularly if you count the years we've been dreaming about moving, and we're so ready to start our new lives at the new shop.
Which is still not finished, but let's not get into that!

I wonder how we ever managed to fit this much crap into our tiny little shop?
Slowly getting there...
Bye bye

Moving day is this saturday, i hope it goes smoothly.

Ps, This is our 100th post on the shop blog, hurray for that!

girly tribal tattoo designs

tribal tattoo designsTribal tattoo designs were employed by ancient cultures for many reasons. A lot of these reasons are still relevant today so let‚ Äôs take a look behind the motivation for and the symbology of tribal tattoo designs. First and foremost, tribal tattoo designs were used to identify clans. This was particularly important on the field of battle. It allowed for quick and easy identification of friends from foes. Another important reason for the tattoo was marriage tattoos. These are what couples would get when they got married to highlight the fact that they belonged to each other. It is not unusual for lovers today to share the same tattoo.
tribal tattoo designsTribal tattoo designs were also used as rites of passage. young man who couldn’t take it would be seen as unfit for battle or hunting, often dooming him to the role of outcast. Today, many teenagers eagerly await their eighteenth birthday and celebrate their entrance to adulthood by getting a tattoo. And the final and most important reason that these tattoos were gotten was to display individuality. There are hundreds, if not thousands of variations on the tribal tattoo theme, so it can become as personal as a thumbprint to a person.
Here we have a few different tribal tattoo designs. I think it is a safe bet to say that all three of these were designed to be placed on the lower back, as they are basically what is referred to as the tramp stamp. But don’t let a nick name like that bother you. When people, especially girls, first starting getting these types of tattoos there may have been a certain stigma attached to having one, but not anymore. They have become way to common place. Today it is normal to find one on the average young housewife and that is only because they have become generally accepted in today’s society.
It’s hard to find someone who does not think tribal tattoo designs are cool. Even if none of the three of them in this picture does it for you, there are thousands more you can look at, probably even more than that. In short there is really no end to them and if you are really looking to get one, you will, sooner or later, find the one you like and when you do you will enjoy it all that much more.

creatures!

Last weekend Heather and I made these cuties! They're both about 9" tall and were super fast to make, but that might have been because two of us were working at the same time.
