Oldies

During our last visit to my grandma's my mom was given an envelope full of old pictures that my aunt had taken of her when she was growing up. There were pictures from when she was really little to when she was a teenager. I've seen her growing up pictures before, but most of these were silly ones that her sister took. It was really fun to look through and see resemblances of Heather and myself in her. Mom [reluctantly ;)] gave permission to post a few favorite on my blog. Thanks mom!

Handmade: Necklaces

As I mentioned in my post on Friday, last week Heather and I made some pretty necklaces. My mom has started doing some beading in the last couple years and just recently started making necklaces. She was at JoAnn's looking for beads when Heather and I found some really awesome charms. Heather ended up making four necklaces (see here) and I made three. I wasn't quite sure was I was doing, but they ended up looking pretty cute.

Float Wraps

I just wanted to share pictures of the awesome presents I got my parents for Mother's Day and Father's Day. I got them both 11" x 14" float wraps of pictures I've taken. They're planning to re-decorate their bedroom and bathroom, so I figured these pictures would be perfect. Besides that, I've been dying to order a float wrap from WHCC, the printing company I use. A float wrap has a gatorboard block on the back which makes the image stand out a little bit on the wall. I was very happy with how they turned out and both of my parents loved them.
