Wardrobe Wednesday

It's been a while since I've done a true Wardrobe Wednesday post. The sister and I went out on Saturday and took some outfit pictures. I borrowed her shirt that she got from Target; I might have to get my own. It's perfect for summer!

I also wore my Paige Denim boyfriend shorts that I got from our new Nordstrom Rack! They are my absolute favorite. I want to get like 6 more pairs of these shorts so I can wear them every day of the week during the summer. I wore my wedges that I also got at Nordstrom Rack. They're super comfortable and very versatile!

We had a low-key day and ended it with a graduation party. Since it was getting cooler, I changed into my boyfriend jeans that I cuffed and kept the rest of the outfit the same.

Wardrobe Wednesday: Jewelry

Today I'll be showing how to wear one necklace four different ways. Like I've said before, coming up with new ways to mix and match the jewelry is one of my favorite parts of my job.

The necklace featured today is Costa Rica. I consider it a staple in my jewelry wardrobe. It has a fun bohemian feel to it.

Costa Rica is 32" long, five-strand necklace with a 4" extender with lobster claw closure. Two strands are delicate silver chains, two strands are heavier silver chains and the final strand is made of beautiful beads.

ONE: Long

TWO: Criss-crossed (half of it doubled) with Stylin' enhancer

THREE: Long, framing the Botanical Necklace

FOUR: Doubled with Stylin' Enhancer

I've used the Stylin' enhancer for this demonstration, but I also like to use an enhancer called Silver Swirl and I've even used the Flipside's teal side [see HERE]. These are just a few ways to wear Costa Rica; there are so many more possibilites!

Pinterest: Hair

I've been loving my hair lately. I'm slowly transition from my darker hair color back closer to my natural strawberry blonde-ish. After just two times it's already pretty close. My regular stylist went on maternity leave at the end of March, so about two weeks ago she referred us [Heather and me] to her friend. I love how it turned out.

Besides transitioning my color I'm also kind of trying to grow it out. At least, right now I've decided I am. I'm so indecisive about the length of my hair. My Pinterest board has been helpful in keeping my hair inspiration ideas all together in one place. I'm not sure what I'll do with my hair at my appointment in June when my stylist is back from maternity leave. I guess I have some time to think it over.

Fashion Friday: 30x30 Remix Recap

I made it! One more thing to cross off my 26 before 27 list! This was definitely a learning experience, but it was a fun and creative challenge. One thing I learned throughout this process was that putting in a little extra effort in getting ready really made me feel better overall. I felt better about myself and more confident in myself. Take an extra 10 or 15 minutes to think through your outfit, add some jewelry and you're ready to go.

I definitely want to do this challenge again when it starts to get nicer outside. Right now I have a strange feeling of freedom when I look in my closet, but at the same time it's overwhelming to have so many choices. Maybe it'd be a good time to clean it out, huh? ;)

I might have spoke too soon last week with finally feeling like I found my way. These last few days were hard. I didn't want to repeat anything and still tried to use things evenly. If I hadn't cared about that it may have been a little easier, who knows. I guess the point is that I tried things I wouldn't normally try. So here are my last four days of the challenge. Fashion Friday: 30x30 Remix - Update 4

I feel like I may have finally found my way through this remix journey. It's starting to get easier to mix things that maybe I normally wouldn't have. I feel a little more freedom and creativity when getting dressed. Shirt X doesn't always have to go with Skirt Y and Cardigan Z. It's okay to try something new, even if it doesn't turn out exactly like you plan. I'm still trying to balance using everything equally, because I'm weird....but whatever. Just a few days left to go! I'll share the rest of my outfits next week and do a little 30x30 remix recap!

Day 22:
