The first thing that you are going to have to decide is where you want the tattoo. Do you want it to bee seen all of the time, or would you rather be able to cover it up at times? Some people that have jobs that require you not to have any visible tattoo's prefer to get tattoos in places like the shoulder, chest, back, etc that can be easily hidden, bust just as easily shown off.

After you decide on where you want your design to be, your next big goal is to find a group of skull tatttoo designs that are going to look good. You are going to want something that means a little something to you. If it means nothing you may find that you many not like it later down the road.

You are also going to want a design that is both attractive and sexy. There is nothing worse than getting an ugly tattoo. It is there forever so make sure you have a design that looks good and will continue to look good. This involves finding a good tattoo artist in your area that has a good reputation.

Now, if you are a guy, I recommend getting just a hint of color in your skull tattoo design. It doesn't have to be a big amount, but it will set your skull off from a lot of others out there. Just a hint of red or blue will add so much to the design. You could even leave the skull black and white and get someting around it with a little color. I have seen some awesome skull tattoos with things like flames, banners, flowers, etc and they all had some sort of color. If you cannot afford color at first you can also get it later on.

I have also seen some sexy tattoo's on gals. But the thing about skulls on women is that they tend to go with a slightly different design. Men usually tend to go with the awesome flaming or real looking skull design, but I think that a more cartoony design on a woman is sexy. Cartoony is all that I could think of, but I hope you get what I am trying to say here. They also look good with color and when incorperated with a little something else like flowers, stars, etc.

There are many placed that you can find skull tattoo designs. You can go and visit tattoo artists in your area and look at their flash, look online, or see what others are getting with the many image galleries. It can be very hard and take a long time to find that perfect skull tattoo design that is just for you.
